PURPOSE:To reproduce a still exactly and stably, by controlling a skipper device so that a signal of the same groove number can be reproduced at all times when executing the still operation. CONSTITUTION:A recording signal on a video disk 1 is reproduced by a pickup stylus 9, is inputted to a groove number reading circuit 12, and a groove number is read. On the other hand, the operation state is analyzed by inputting a signal of a still reproducing button 25 to an operation signal deciding part 14. A still signal from this deciding part 14, and a groove number signal from the circuit 12 in that case are inputted to a groove number comparing circuit 13. In the circuit 13, a groove number A in case the button 25 has been operated is compared with a groove number B of the present time point. As a result of said comparison, in case of A<B, an output of the circuit 13 is provided to an AND circuit 17. As a result, a signal of a skipper pulse generating circuit 15 drives a reverse direction driving circuit 21. As a result, the stylus 9 is skipped in the opposite direction to its advancing direction. Also, in case of A>B, the signal of the circuit 15 is applied to a forward direction driving circuit 19, and the stylus 9 is skipped to the advancing direction. |
