Hydrated MgCl2 reversible phase change compositions

A reversible liquid/solid phase change composition comprising hydrated MgCl2 and one or more of Ba(OH)2, Sr(OH)2, CaO, SrCO3, BaO, Ca(OH)2, Mg(OH)2, MgO, Na3AlF6 or CaC2O4, added to the composition in an effective amount to suppress supercooling of the MgCl2 liquid phase.
