PURPOSE:To produce the titled film with its surfaces having different ink receptivity, by heat-setting the surfaces of a stretched polyester film containing a polyethylene glycol component at specified different temperature. CONSTITUTION:A packaging polyester film with one of its surfaces having a contact angle >=60 deg. for water and the other having a contact angle <=56 deg. is obtained by biaxially stretching a polyester film containing 0.1-10wt% polyethylene glycol, MW 6,000-15,000, and then heat-setting said one of the surfaces of the film at a temperature <= (Tm-60 deg.C), where Tm is the m.p. of the film, and heat-setting the other of the surfaces of the film at a temperature between (Tm- 50 deg.C) and (Tm-20 deg.C). |
