PURPOSE:To have a high efficiency conversion of fluid energy into the rotation energy by allowing an internal gear and a planet gear to revolve at the same speed in the opposite directions and by rotating thereby the pinion shaft at a speed increase rate of twice approximately. CONSTITUTION:Fluid energy turns a propeller shaft 7 and 10 counterclockwise and clockwise, respectively, and the rotations are transmitted to the pinion 5 through an internal gear 6 and a planet gear 8 to cause the shaft 3 turning clockwise. The shaft 3 revolvs at a speed determined from the sum of the number of revolutions of the propeller shaft 7 and that of the propeller shaft 10, multiplied by the number of cogs of said internal gear 6, divided by the number of cogs of the pinion 5 and added by the number of revolutions of the propeller shaft 10, i.e. approximately twice as quickly, and thus the fluid energy can be converted into rotational energy at a high efficiency. |
