PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a lubricator, by composing a gear-type oil pump of a cam drive gear secured on a crankshaft and of a driven gear engaged with the former gear. CONSTITUTION:A cam drive gear 11 with a small number of teeth in fitted on a crankshaft 3 just outside the front 1a of a crankcase 1. A cam driven gear 12, whose tooth number is twice as many as that of the cam drive gear 11 and which is engaged therewith, is fitted on a cam shaft 4. A pump casing 13 is fitted around these gears 11, 12. Because of the gear ratio, the cam shaft 4 performs a half rotation during one rotation of the crankshaft 3 to cause the valve action of a moving valve mechanism 9. Since the gears 11, 12 rotate in engagement with each other, sucking negative pressure is caused in a suction port 18 so that oil in an oil sump 10 is sucked into the port 18 and then sent to a discharge port 17 along the inside surface of the pump casing 13. |
