PURPOSE:To control the temp. of a slab in the outlet of a heating furnace to a target temp. by controlling the furnace temp. with the difference between the temp. of the slab by the calculation from the temp. of the heating furnace and the residence time of the slab in the furnace and the actually measured temp. at the stage of heating the slab in the heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:While a slab 2 is moved in an arrow direction in a heating furnace 1, it is heated. The temps. in the furnace are measured with thermocouples 3, and is inputted to a slab temp. calculator 4; at the same time, the heating target temp. theta (tEx) of the slab and an overall heat transfer coefft. phi are applied to the device 4, by which the time signal is obtained from the time elements incorporated therein. The slab surface temp. is detected with a radiation thermometer 5 provided to the wall of the furnace 1 and the detected value theta (tO) thereof is applied to a phi corrector 6. The slab temp. signal theta (tx) by the calculation from the device 4 is applied to the corrector 6, by which the coefft. phi is corrected. The corrected phi is utilized for controlling the elevation of the temp. of the furnace 1, whereby the slab 2 is controlled to the target temp. at the outlet. This slab is extracted from the furnace. |
