The invention concerns a method for arc welding of tanks for corrosive media. The method is based on that one machines the edges being joined for the purpose of producing a weld, fills a gap between the edges, with melted electrode material, by using a melting electrode to form the weld, and allows the weld to temper. The method is characterised in that, while forming the weld, one consecutively fills the gap between the edges 1 with different metals in the thickness direction for the edges 1 by using a metal to form a portion 5 of the weld at one of its sides having a coefficient of thermal expansion that is lower than the coefficient of thermal expansion for the metal used to form the remaining portion 6 of the weld. <IMAGE> |
