PURPOSE:To achieve compensation of dropout for luminance and chroma signals with timing having a margin, by monitoring the luminance signal before demodulation in advance and detecting the dropout. CONSTITUTION:A reproduced FM luminance signal and a reproduced low frequency conversion chroma signal are demodulated at a luminance signal demodulator 13 and a chroma signal demodulator 14, added at an adder 15 and applied via a switch 16. A reproduced FM luminance signal is inputted to a dropout detector 21 via a delay circuit 20 and the dropout can be detected in advance. When the dropout is detected, a switch 16 is selected to a terminal Y and a signal is applied to an output terminal 17 via a dropout compensating delay circuit 18 and an amplifier 19. |
