PURPOSE:To shorten processing time by eliminating the need to enqueue and restore the contents of a general register, by using the contents of a work register for address calculation in a microprogram data processing system. CONSTITUTION:When a service processor 1 is to access a main memory on a CPU side, a microinstruction read out of a control memory 4 by a fixed address is used to read the value of a work regiser group 17 other than a general register group 11, and this value is stored in the arithmetic result register 16 of an unit E which serves as the input stage of an address calculating adder 13, thereby performing operand address calculation. For this prupose, the addition result is sent to an S unit 14 in order to input the value of the arithmetic result register 16 to the address calculating adder 13 forcibly. As a result, it is unnecessary to enqueue and restore the contents of the general register group 11. |
