PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in data transmission speed by generating system operation information by providing two units which perform data transmission control and by reading and storing data regarding the operation state of an in- use side by a stand-by side. CONSTITUTION:A data way station is constituted by connecting a bus controller 1, a CPU coupling part 3, data way controlling parts 5-1 and 5-2, transmission controlling part 6-1 and 6-2, an equipment coupling part 8, a common memory 10 directly to a common bus 2, and by coupling a CPU4, and I/Os 9-1-9-n with the coupling parts 3 and 8. When the controlling part 5-1 is in an in-use mode, the control part 5-2 taking a stand-by side monitors all data regarding the transmission and reception of command frames of the in-use side to generate operation information, which is stored periodically in prescribed addresses of the memory 10. Consequently, an optional processor in an optional station can utilize the operation information and no influence upon the procedure of transmission control is exerted, so that the control part 5-1 of the in-use side has no decrease in effective data transmission speed. |
