PURPOSE:To perform junction work with good efficiency by independently providing junction adjusting pads on the surface of a substrate at the same height as that of lead connecting pads. CONSTITUTION:Light sensitive elements 22 are arranged in parallel on a substrate 21 of PbSe or the like. In making the lead connecting pads 33 of elements 22, adjusting pads 34 having the same height as that of the pads 33 are simultaneously formed at any places on the substrate 21 by separating a little away from the pads 33. In this way, lead wire junction is simply and surely done by horizontally moving the substrate 21 after adjusting the height of bonders through neighboring pads 34 and by connecting an output lead to the connecting pads of the elements and this method eliminates the need for conventional long lead connecting pads. Therefore, the pads 34 with small areas are adequate to a photoelectric converter and the size of the device is reduce to a minimum. |
