PURPOSE:To produce a long sized thin strip to uniform thickness by making the slit width of a nozzle port having a variable slit width wider only at the start of ejecting and ejecting molten metal onto a cooling surface. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal 1 consisting of Fe82B16Si2 (figures are atom%) heated to melt with a heater 3 is conducted from a molten metal well 4 into a stationary nozzle part 6a by removing a stopper 8, and is ejected through a moving nozzle 10 of a regulated nozzle port 7 onto the rotating surface of a copper made roller 5. Optical detectors 9a, 9b detecting the passage of the molten metal 1 operate a driving device 11 to regulate plates 10a, 10b while moving the same, thereby obtaining a thin amorphous strip to uniform thickness. |
