<p>Aq. cationic silicone emulsions contain as emulsifier a modified and quaternised triazine-HCHO resin of formula (I): where R' is 1-4C alkyl; R2 and R3 are 1-4C (hydroxy)alkyl; R4 is (m)ethyl; R5, R6, R7, R8, and R9 are 8-22C alkyl; and X is an anion, e.g. chloride, bromide, iodide or methosulphate. The emulsions are used as softening and/or waterproofing agents for fibrous materials. The emulsions are stable, and give better waterproofing properties.</p> |
