A quick-release coupling for a pressurized medium network, having a male coupling half (3) and a female coupling half (4) with an exterior, axially movable latch release member (6) on the female half activating a latch member in a normal position to prevent the insertion of the male half (3) into the female half (4), as well as its removal therefrom and in a retracted position disabling said latch member, such that the male half can be moved into the female half or removed from it. The arrangement has support members (8, 15) for the male and female halves (3, 4). At least one support member (8) is movable for providing a relative axial movement between male and female halves. A retracting member (10) can move the latch release member (6) to its separated position and is resilient via spring 9, when the male and female halves (3, 4) are completely mated. The retracting member (10) and both halves (3, 4) can be given a mutual axial latching movement causing the retracting member to assume a position in which it allows or causes, the latch release member (6) to assume its normal position. They can also be given the opposite mutual movement, whereby the retracting member, at least temporarily, moves the latch release member to its retracted position. <IMAGE> |
