The device generating monophase current, notably for the supply for the electrical firing circuit in a projectile, comprises a rotor consisting of a permanently magnetised bell-cover (4-5) surrounding the stator (2) and pivoting on a stud (1). The rotation of the bell-cover is brought about by a spring (9). The device is characterised in that the number of poles of the stator (2) is different from the number of poles of the rotor. A very small-sized generating device is thus obtained, delivering a high voltage for a short time span. <IMAGE>
