PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction of a copying machine, by inhibiting the copying action in case the combination is impossible between the paper size and the original size in terms of the set magnification ratio. CONSTITUTION:An original on an original saucer 6 is carried onto an exposure surface glass 3 by means of a feed roller 8. In this case, the length and the width of the original are detected by sensors S1-S14. If it is found that the length and width of the original are not suitable to the size of the paper set to a copying machine as well as to the set magnification ratio through an operation carried out by a microprocessor. Thus a warning and a display are given to inhibit the operation of the copying machine. |
