The device (1) comprises a rotatable support means for supporting an article 16 to be wrapped and film applying means (2) movable relative to the article. A first lever (9) carries a welding head (8) which is movable between an operative and an inoperative condition by piston and cylinder means (10). A cutting member (12) carried by a second lever (13) is mounted on the first lever (9) and is movable by associated piston and cylinder means (14) towards and away from a cutting position to cut the film intermediate the welding head (8) and film applying means (2). <IMAGE> |
