PURPOSE:To obtain a paper which rapidly absorbs ink and besides reduces diffusion, by a method wherein latex of stylenebutadiene copolymer, being 8-40-mer composition styrene block, is used as an adhesive agent for a layer to be coated of the ink jet recording paper. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous composition, containing an aqueous high-molecule adhesive agent consisting of an inorganic pegment and a latex of a stylenebutadiene copolymer or denatured stylenebutadiene copolymer being 8-40-mer composition a styrene block, is applied and dried on a surface of a supporter such as papers or thermoplastic synthetic resin films to form a layer to be coated. The surface of the layer to be coated is then brought into press contact with a hot calendar within a range from temperature being 20 deg.C lower than a glass transition temperature Tg of polymer latex to temperature being 40 deg.C higher than the temperature Tg to perform a finishing. |
