This invention relates to a conveying system provided with an endless conveyor belt especially for coarse materials such as blast stone. It has not been possible to convey such materials by means of belt conveyors up pitches steeper than about 20 DEG , and in order to make it possible to convey coarse materials up substantially steeper pitches the conveyor belt (2) of the invention is at its longitudinal edges provided with members (6) projecting on both sides of the belt (2) and absorbing tensile force and a relatively soft load supporting member between these, the conveyor belt (2) with its tensile force absorbing members (6) being suspended in spaced roll stands (5) with supporting rolls (7) on both sides of the belt (2) for cooperation with said members (6). <IMAGE> |
