<p>PURPOSE:To perform methanation of organic waste liquid in a single vessel, to recover energy and to save a running cost, by continuing mixing and agitation of the waste liquid in a vessel until gas generation is stopped, separating fungus body sludge by precipitation, and repeating operation using supernatant as working liquid. CONSTITUTION:A fixed amount of waste liquid 1 is fed through a pump 2 into a methanating vessel 3. In this case, an agitator 4 is driven just after the start or completion of the waste liquid-feed, so that the waste liquid 1 is mixed and agitated in the vessel 3. Gas 5 generated by methanation is reserved through a gasometer 6 in a reservoir 7 and offered for a use such as a heat source. Thereafter, when the gas-generating speed becomes lower than a preset value, a stop signal is fed from a sequence controller 8 to the agitator 4 so that mixing and agitation of the liquid in the vessel is stopped. From this moment, the methanating vessel 3 is submitted to use as solid-liquid separation. Fungus body sludge is separated from the liquid in the vessel by gravity precipitation, while the supernatant is drained by a pump 9. When a fixed amount of the supernatant has been drained, the pump 9 is stopped, the feed pump 2 is driven again, and then the whole process is repeated.</p> |
