PURPOSE:To enable rapid preparation of pickles having excellent taste and flavor, by using a pickling apparatus comprising a detachable vegetable container and a flexible protecting diaphragm attached to the opening of the main body of the pickling apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A vegetable container 3 is charged with the vegetable 80 and mixed pickling liquid 81, and covered with the cover 4. The motor 9 is energized by operating the timer knob, and the sliding member 24 begins reciprocal linear motion while revolving the ball 34. As the pressure of the pressing plate 51 is imposed to the squeezing rollers 30, the rollers also start the reciprocal linear motion while rotating. The motion of the squeezing rollers is transmitted through the roller cover 44 and the diaphragm 49 to the vegetable 80. When the pickling action is finished, the electric supply is cut off, and the cover 4 is removed. As stated above, the pickling liquid 81 impregnates into the vegetable rapidly, and the pickling action proceeds in a short time, by the combined action of the squeezing and the movement of the pressing point. |
