In order to support slope material on an embankment, injection rods (10) are driven into the soil along the embankment. The injection rods (10) project from the embankment at the top. Fastened to the injection rods are supporting plates (13) on which the slope material is supported. Holding clips (14) serve to hold the supporting plates on the rods. The holding clips (14) are bent in a U-shape, their U-legs being bent out of the U-plane in the same direction at both their free end and their end connected to the U-connecting web. In this arrangement, the area of the U-connecting web between the U-legs in contact with the rod (10) on the one side and the area of the free leg ends in contact with the supporting plate (13) on the other side lie approximately at the same level below the centre part of the U-legs, which overlaps the top edge of the supporting plate. Such a holding clip is easy to assemble and sits securely. <IMAGE>
