PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material superior in discernibility between the front and back side, good in antistaticity and vacuum contact property in spite of absence of mat pins, by adding an amorphous matting agent to the protective layer of the emulsion layer side of a support and a spherical matting agent to the backing layer of its backside. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide emulsion layer containing <=30mg/(dm)<2> silver halide in terms of silver, and a protective layer are provided on the front side of a support, and a backing layer is formed on its reverse side to form a photosensitive material. This protective layer consists of a hydrophilic colloid layer 0.1-3mum thick containing an amorphous matting agent, such as barium sulfate having no symmetrical face or point, and 0.1-20mum average diameter, and the backing layer consists of a 1-10mum thick hydrophilic colloid containing a spherical matting agent, such as a spherical polymer compound having 0.1-20mum average diameter.
