PURPOSE:To improve cleaning performance by providing the 2nd cleaning means which collects an adsorptive removed from an image carrier by the 1st cleaning means, and by applying it with an electric field intermittently. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device 9 consists of a magnetic brush roller 10 which collects toner on a photosensitive drum 1 and has a magnet roller 13 internally, a collecting roller 11 for collecting toner in a magnetic brush roller 10, and a rubber blade 12 for removing toner on the collecting roller 11. The constitution of collecting roller 11 is applicable with a voltage, and an intermittent pulse voltage, a low-frequency or high-frequency AC voltage, an AC voltage biased positively or negatively in accordance with the polarity of the toner, etc. are available. |
