摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To facilitate tension control of processing side of a compound working line in a continuous rolling mill in which the 1st n-th stands are provided with roll gap and speed control by making the n-th stand a pivot stand and thereby making outlet side speed of the rolling mill constant. CONSTITUTION:The roll gap of the 1st 5th stands in controlled by devices 1-5 HPC respectively and the roll speed is controlled by motors 1-5M. Correction signals to keep the tension a fixed value or in a fixed range are calculated by tension controlling devices 1-4TC by signals of tension meters 1-4TM between the stands, and added to devices 2-5HPC. Automatic thickness control of the 1st stand is made by a thickness meter 1X, and when the value of a thickness meter 5X exceeds a target value, an automatic thickness controlling device 5AGC gives a speed change signal to correct the deviation to a speed controlling device 4ASR. By this way, the speed of the 4th stand is lowered to reduce the thickness and to remove the deviation. At this time, speed successive signals to keep the rolling condition of the stands before the 4th stand are given to devices 1- 3ASR.</p>
