PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium which has a magntic layer superior in tape running characteristics, magnetic characteristics. durability, etc., by using polyurethane resin as a binder component and epoxy denatured silicone oil as a lubricant. CONSTITUTION:Polyurethane resin is used as a binder component which constitutes a magnetic layer, and epoxy-denatured silicone oil whose skeleton texture is expressed by, for example, the right constitutional formula (wherein X and Y are integers with X+Y<=250 and R is optional hydrocarbon) is used as a lubricant. |
