发明名称 RADIATION MEASURING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure radiation dose in a remote place over a wide range without the influence of electromagnetic induction noises by using optical fibers of which the core materials contain prescribed impurities and in which the propagated light signals attenuate according to irradiated radiations. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed voltage outputted by a pulse height analyzer 12 serving also as a pulse generator is converted to light pulses by means of a light transmitter 6 and the light pulses are equally distributed with a light distributor 7 installed remotely through an optical fiber 8. These distributed pulse beams are distributed to a large number of optical fibers of the attenuation rates of the light signals differing according to irradiated radiations on account of the difference in the rate of inclusion of germanium, phosphorus, etc. which are impurites for the core materials forming sensors 9. The light signals propagating in the respective optical fibers of the sensors 9 which are radiated with the radiations from a radiation generating source 10 are converted to electric signals with photoreceivers 11a- and these signals are applied to the analyzer 12. With such constitution, radiation dose is measured in a remote place over a wide range without the influence of electromagnetic induction noises.
