PURPOSE:To improve the humidity-resisting property of the device by fitting an element to external leads made monolithic with resin of high humidity resistance and sealing later the periphery of the element with light-transmitting resin in a resin-sealed type device. CONSTITUTION:The peripheries of the roots of the external take-out leads 13 and 15 are fixed monolithically with the resin 17 of excellent humidity resistnce, such as epoxy, by the transfer method, and the element 11 is fixed to the lead 13 with silver paste 12, for instance, and connected to the lead 15 by a fine wire 14. Next, the luminescent part of the element 11 and the periphery thereof are sealed by potting with the resin 16 of excellent light transmission. By using two kind of resin in this way, it becomes possible to improve the humidity- resisting property of the device sharply without giving any effect to the luminescence property thereof. |
