PURPOSE:To improve the ease of operation of an electronic timepiece and form a new type of timepieces as merchandise by providing an epicyclic bezel to its external part, and performing switching operation by rotating said bezel. CONSTITUTION:Names 21 of respective modes, and mode setting marks 22 are displayed on an epicyclic bezel 1. The bezel 1 is pressed to an outside case band 2 by means of a packing 6. A module 9 is disposed on the outside of waterproof construction using packings 15, 16, 17 disposed respectively to a glass 5, a back cover 8, and a mode selection switch button 7. When the epicyclic bezel is rotated up to the next mode setting mark, the switch is turned on so that the mode is changed over to the next mode. The function for mode selection is provided to the epicyclic bezel in this way, whereby the ease of operation is improved and the provision of new merchandise groups is made possible. |
