PURPOSE:To complete inspection in a short time by jumping a head over a prescribed number of recording tracks, and by inspecting a recording state while performing real-time reproduction by the prescribed number of tracks following the jumped recording tracks. CONSTITUTION:A jump command signal from a jump command signal generating circuit 15 turns on and off a servo loop switch 5 and in response to the command signal, a tracking mirror 8 is driven by a driving circuit 6 to move a pickup spot S2 by a track pitch in the radius direction of a disk, thus jumping tracks. Once the generation of jump pulses ends, real-time reproduction from two following tracks is performed. Simultaneously, a focus error signal, a dropout detection signal and a tracking error signal are inspected. |
