PURPOSE:To enable to spread uniformly the powder of phosphor on the inner surface of a glass bulb without heating the bulb, by blowing the charged powder upon the inner surface of the bulb after making amine compatibly soluble in water at a free rate adsorbed on the inner surface of the bulb. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of, for example, 5% triethanolamine is poured into a washed glass bulb 1 for a fluorescent lamp, and the bulb 1 is dried by blowing in the bulb 1 with warm air after wetting the whole inner surface of the bulb 1. Next, thus processed bulb 1 is supported with a supporter, and a powder injection nozzle 3 is inserted into it. Then, the charged powder 4 of phosphor is sprayed on the inner surface of the bulb 1 while rotating the bulb and moving the nozzle, and the inner surface of the bulb 1 is coated with the powder 4. Thereby, the electric resistance of the surface of glass can be dropped remarkably, and the powder of phosphor can be uniformly spread electrostatically. |
