Pollutants (e.g., Co) in air are detd. with a nondispersive-type IR or UV analyzer designed to prevent the drifting of light beams when passing them through a sample cell (contg. polluted air) and a ref. cell (contg. N) and a rotary-type beam sector to a dual-chambered beam anal. unit. The conventional beam is replaced with a black aluminite-treated Al cylinder that is rotatable and contains 4 S-shaped beam paths filled with optical fibers. The intensity of the transmitted beam is doubled compared with the conventional app.
