The heavy door (1) for protecting aircraft hangers from blast effects runs on rollers (13) along a horizontal track (11). Each end of the door (1) contains a recess (17), open at the bottom, which houses a support cage (29) for at least one roller (13). Guides (51,52) prevent horizontal movement of the cage (29) w.r.t the recess (17) but allow a small amount of vertical movement which is elastically opposed by dampers (43). Access apertures can be revealed by removing sections of the recess (17) allowing withdrawal of the roller (13) for maintenance by movement along a horizontal direction, perpendicular to its rotational axis (30).
