PURPOSE:To improve the waterproofness of an ink jet recording sheet by adding as a binder or a surface sizing agent an aqueous emulsion or a resin soluble in an alcohol and forming a good waterproof film after drying to the sheet. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet recording sheet which involves as a surface coating binder agent or a surface sizing agent, in addition to polyvinyl pyrrolidone or polyvinyl pyrrolidone vinyl acetate copolymer, one or both of aqueous emulsion resin and resin soluble in alcohol and resin forming a waterproof film after drying. Thus, the waterproof characteristics of the sheet can be improved without loss of the density characteristics of a record having high ink absorbing property. |
