PURPOSE:To obtain a good toner for developing an electrostatic image freed of the defects of the conventional amorphous and spherical toners, by setting the longer diameter to the shorter diameter ratio of the particles and the particles size in proper ranges. CONSTITUTION:A toner superior in fluidity, resolution, sharpness, transfer efficiency, recycling characteristics, and low in fog can be obtained by preparing using a suspension polymerization method an electrostatic image developing toner having a spherical form, and a longer diameter (a) to a shorter diameter (b) ratio a/b in the following relationship: 1.00<=a/b<=1.05, and 1-30mum particle diameter, and containing >=70wt% particles within the main particle diameter + or -3mum. |
