<p>A process for producing dibenzofuran, which comprises distilling a coal tar fraction having a boiling point range of from 220 to 300o C in a distilling tower (2) through line (1) to obtain a dibenzofuran fraction containing 30 wt % or more dibenzofuran and having a dibenzofuran/acenaphthene molar ratio of 1.3 or more and a fluorene/dibenzofuran molar ratio of 0.05 or less, then feeding the resulting dibenzofuran fraction via line (4) into a continuously crystallizing purification apparatus (6) having a cooling zone (9) for crystallization, a heating zone (10) for melting precipitated crystals, and a purifying zone between said two zones for contacting crystals transferred from said cooling zone to said heating zone with a molten crystal component in a countercurrent manner, thus continuously crystallizing and recovering crystals through a line (11).</p> |
