Strip trimming and welding machine - with shear blades on hinged beam adjustable in height of pivot

Machine for trimming two strip ends and for welding them together is equipped with a hinged beam which can be swivelled in a vertical plane and is fitted with two shear blades at a horizontal distance from each other. The pivot for the beam is incorporated in a guide sleeve which is adjustable in height by a hydraulic cylinder and is lockable in the vertical column of the machine frame by a bolt. The back-up plate for the welding operation can be attached directly to the free end of the hinged beam so that space is saved. Little hydraulic effort is needed for the trimming cut and there is good access for the observation of the welding operation.
