Joint connection for continuous toothed belts - uses overlapping belts, embedded in elastic material of belt

The joint connection is for use with a belt (10), which consists of a traction belt (12), covered by an elastic material. Overlapping belts (13) are embedded in the elastic material (11), so as to cover the joint (16). A gap, filled with elastic material, is located between the traction belt and the overlapping belts. The length of the overlapping belts on either side of the joint is a min. of 13 times the belt width.
