PURPOSE:To obtain a diaphragm membrane reactor capable of accelerating the reaction and carrying out also backwash of membrane and constituted so as to divide membrane module into plural modules, connect each culture medium chamber in series through pressure adjusting valve and generate pressure difference between upper current side and lower current side by throttle of the pressure adjusting valve. CONSTITUTION:The pressure P1 and P2 (P1>P2) of culture media chambers 22 and 24 is set by throttling a pressure adjusting valve 26 and also pressure P3 of substrate chambers 18 and 20 is properly set and each culture medium and substrate are circulated. In first membrane module 10 the culture medium is permeated through a diaphragm membrane 14 to send the chamber 18, where the reaction of the substrate is carried out. The substrate where above-mentioned reaction is proceeding is transferred to the next chamber 20, where the culture medium containing the substrate is returned to the chamber 24 through a diaphragm member 16, because the pressure P2 of the chamber 24 is sufficiently low. Above-mentioned operation is continuously repeated to provide the aimed product. Further the pressure P1 and P2 of each chamber 22 and 24 is changed by adjusting the adjusting valve 26 to control amount where the culture medium is passed through the substrate. |
