In the lubrication device, a lubricating oil pump (13) is provided which pumps oil into a manifold (15), to which an adjustable overflow valve (16) for control of the oil pressure is connected and from which oil feed lines (23) branch off, into each of which an oil feed control device (24) is inserted. Each oil feed control device (24) is designed in the nature of an injection valve and has a valve needle (27), which by way of a pressure piston (28) is constantly acted upon in the closing direction. The valve needle (27) also has a closing element interacting with a valve seat and a control piston part, which to the fore defines an opening pressure chamber (47) and to the rear a closing pressure chamber (48). A gas pressure transmission line (49) branching off from the cylinder chamber is connected to the opening pressure chamber and at least one differential pressure line is connected to the closing pressure chamber (48), which latter line also branches off from the cylinder chamber, approximately on a level with the oil outlet ducts (41). By virtue of this opening arrangement, gas pressure differentials between the upper and lower sides of the individual piston rings (6, 7, 8, 9) can be utilised for opening the valve needle (27), in order to inject lubricating oil accurately into the chambers (10, 11, 12). <IMAGE>
