The circuit uses a chopper circuit (Z) with a transformer (U). To eliminate the dependence of the secondary output current (Ia) on the load, an additional current ( DELTA I) is superimposed on the impressed current (I) supplied by a measurement converter (M). This additional current is derived from a voltage (UK) which is present at the input of the current converter formed by chopper circuit (Z), transformer (U) and rectifier (G). <IMAGE>
