PURPOSE:To permit holding of the preset number of copies and improve the ease of operation by making the number of copies settable during standing by after turning on of an electric power source and operating a prescribed timer after a copiable state is displayed. CONSTITUTION:The assigning of the number of copies is so arranged as to permit its setting while a green lamp GL displaying the feasibility of copying is off. A timer device which is automatically reset when there is no copying command after lapse of 1min since setting of the number of copying is provided and it is so arranged as to be actuated only when the green lamp GL is on. It is also so arranged that the timer is not automatically reset when paper runs out during continuous copying, when paper jams or when a clear stop key KSC is turned on during continuous copying. Thereby, the clearing of the preset number of copying by the timer is obviated at the time other than needed and therefore the number of copying is held and the ease of operation is improved. |
