The organic materials are separated from the garbages and are caused to pass into a mixer (5) by transforming them into a slurry by addition of liquid. The slurry is homogenized into a grinder (10, 11) and supplied to a container (13). Then the slurry is heated at 55-60`C in a heat exchanger (15) and conveyed into a plurality of vats (16) where the methane gas and the carbon dioxide evolve; the mixture thereof is decomposed into a separator (22) and the methane is stored into gasometers (23). Owing to the temperature rise, the elimination of organic materials is accelerated and the costs are reduced.
