The device has an acoustic and/or optical display. A clocked audio generator (2,3) drives an electroacoustic transducer (1) and/or a light source (2) and may have a variable volume and/or clock frequency below 5 Hz. The clock generator (3) is coupled to the transducer and source via a pulsed trigger (4) that releases an extra display signal (or operates an extra switch) above a given pulse frequency. The device is tubular and can be dismantled.
