The insulating cladding consists of an insulating plate of uniform thickness and fabricated by vacuum extrusion. The plate is drawn into a V-shaped groove in the moulding tool each side of a wanted separation line. The join between the two grooves forms the separation line and the thickness of the material at this point is less than elsewhere. Various shapes are moulded into the insulating plate. The bottoms of the grooves do not touch the cabinet.
