发明名称 DEVICE FOR DETECTING OPTICAL TEMPERATURE
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to establish temperature detecting sensitivity and a detecting range by selecting angle theta formed by the propagating direction of light in an optical anisotropic crystal and the optical axis of the crystal in the range of 0<theta<pi/2. CONSTITUTION:An optical pulse irradiated from a light source 1 is linearly polarized through an optical fiber 3 and a polarizer 4, and inputted to the one side of the temperature detector 5 comprising the optical anisotropic crystal. The light which has passed temperature detector 5 is fed to an analyzer 6, wherein the phases of the two light waves having vertical vibrating direction are detected. The light is guided to a light detector 7 through a lens 3' and an optical fiber 2'. Since there are two optical axes is in the optical anisotropic crystal 5 in the case of two axis crystal the direction of the propagation of light is determined by two angles theta1 and theta2 which are formed between two light axes and the propagating direction of light. The sensitivity and the measuring range are established by said theta1 and theta2.
