A joint for connecting two multilayer cables of the stator winding of a high-voltage generator located in the front part of the latter comprises the end zones (1) of the multilayer cables to be connected which comprise, in their turn, coaxially located conducting layers (2, 10), tubes (6, 8) of the conducting layers separated from each other with insulating layers (7, 9, 14, 15), jumpers (18, 20, 22, 24) connecting electrically the conducting layers (2, 10) to each other, and tubes (6, 8) of the conducting layers. Each insulating layer (7, 9, 14, 15) has a part facing the jumpers (18, 20, 22, 24) and shaped as a terminal truncated insulating cone (16). Each jumper (18, 20, 22, 24) consists of a plurality of elements shaped each as a section of a hollow cylinder limited by two generating lines. Each jumper (18, 20, 22, 24) carries an insulating bush (19, 21, 23, 25). Each terminal truncated insulating cone (16) and the truncated cones (26) of the insulating bushes (19, 21, 23, 25) carry thin-walled insulating cylinders (27, 28). The surfaces of the truncated cone (26) of the insulating bush (19, 21, 23, 25), of the terminal truncated insulating cone (16), of the two adjacent jumpers (18, 20, 22, 24), of the conducting layers (2, 10) connected with them and of the tubes (6, 8) of the conducting layers form, all together, an insulating chamber (30) whereas the surface of the jumper (24) and of the tube (12) of the outer conducting layer (10), of the terminal truncated insulating cone (16), of the truncated cone (26) of the insulating bush (25), of the thin-walled insulating cylinders (27, 28) form, all together, another insulating chamber (31). The insulating chambers (30) are connected with each other, with cooling channels (5, 13) and with the insulating chamber (31). |
