PURPOSE:To absorb initial impulse and restrain subsequent vibration to stop a movement of a shaft by installing transferring blades through a centrifugal clutch to the shaft and, at the time of sudden movement of the shaft, driving particles by means of the transferring blades to one side of the casing and to compress into a high density. CONSTITUTION:Slow displacement of pipes due to thermal expansion, etc., is permitted by merely rotating a screw rod 4. For sudden displacement of pipes due to earthquake, etc., a centrifugal clutch 5 functions to transmit the rotary motion of the screw rod 4 to a rotary shaft 6, so that a propeller 5a is allowed to start rotating, conveying particles 2 against one of the end walls of the casing 1b. On the other hand, the rotary shaft 6 can rotate only slightly to an extent to absorb initial impulse imposed on the screw rod 4 or the clutch 5, and a moment later is restrained by the high density of particles 2 compressed between the propeller and the casing wall. Thus, the rotating shaft is completely restrained and the vibration is checked. |
