PURPOSE:To achieve the mass production of a light weight grid with saved amount of used lead, in a simple production way by putting a lead substrate immediately after casting on a thermoplastic synthetic resin substrate and joining them in one body. CONSTITUTION:A lead or lead alloy substrate comprising a lug 1, a lateral frame 2, a longitudinal frame 3, is put immediately after casting on a synthetic resin substrate comprising a lateral frame 7, an upper framework 8, a side framework 9, a lower framework 10, under the condition keeping a temperature over a melting point of the synthetic resin, and the synthetic resin is melted by adding a small pressure, the contact portion of the lead or lead alloy substrate to the synthetic resin is burried in the resin, and then cooled to join the lead or lead alloy substrate to the synthetic resin substrate in one body. The synthetic resin substrate is composed of a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene polypropylene, or polystylene. |
