PURPOSE:To switch heads rapidly and securely with simple constitution by controlling the rotation of a head lever in engagement with a solenoid plunger. CONSTITUTION:When the plunger of a solenoid 16 moves inward, a diamond- shaped piece 72 moves in one body to move a guide pin 80 along a groove 85, turning an operating plate 82 counterclockwise. When the pin 88 of this operating plate 82 passes through a neutral point, the operating plate 82 turns counterclockwise instantaneously by a torsion spring 92, and a head lever 12 mounting heads 22 and 23 rotates clockwise around a shaft 18 by coupling with the plunger. Similarly, the lever 12 rotates counterclockwise by coupling with the drawing-out operation of the solenoid plunger, so that switching of the heads to the neutral position or to the touch position of a forward or reverse running tape is performed smoothly, rapidly and securely by the constitution, which eliminates the need for a slide lever, in direct engagement with plunger motion. |
